About Alabama Asset Building Coalition

Alabama Asset Building Coalition (Alabama ABC) is a statewide coalition dedicated to improving the financial well-being of Alabama residents. We work to expand access to mainstream financial services, promote financial education, and advocate for policies that help individuals and families build assets and achieve economic stability.

Our Vision

A financially inclusive Alabama where all residents have the tools and opportunities to build assets and achieve economic prosperity.

Our Mission

To promote financial inclusion and asset building through collaborative partnerships, innovative programs, and policy advocacy.

Our Approach

We bring together diverse stakeholders to create systemic change and expand opportunities for financial empowerment.

Founded in 2015, Alabama ABC serves as the backbone organization for financial empowerment initiatives across the state. Our work includes coordinating the BankOn Alabama program, advocating for consumer-friendly financial policies, and supporting community-based financial education efforts.

BankOn Alabama

Our flagship program connecting unbanked and underbanked Alabamians with safe, affordable banking products and financial education through local chapters across the state.
